A New Milestone for NSCCM: Official Adoption of the Contract
Management Standard™

NSCCM is proud to announce that we have officially become Adopters of the Contract
Management Standard™ (CMS™) – the globally recognized framework for professional
contract and commercial management.
By adopting the CMS™, NSCCM joins a growing international community committed to
strengthening contract management as a modern, strategic discipline.
The Contract Management Standard™ provides an internationally recognised framework
that promotes structure, consistency, and a shared professional language across
organisations, sectors, and jurisdictions. It covers the entire contract lifecycle—from pre-
award to close-out—and supports improved collaboration, stronger risk management, and
greater value creation.
The original English version of the standard, as well as the official Danish translation, can
be accessed and downloaded here
By becoming an Adopter, NSCCM commits to embedding the principles of CMS™ into our
education programmes, certifications, and professional development activities. This
ensures that our work is aligned with international recognised best practice, including
structured processes, strong commercial capabilities, high ethical standards, and
professional conduct in contract management.
Adopting CMS™ further strengthens NSCCM’s academic and professional foundation and
reflects our ambition to contribute to higher standards of contract management across both the public and private sectors. At the same time, it provides our participants and partners with confidence that our training is anchored in a globally recognised and practice-oriented framework.
We are proud to be part of the CMS community and look forward to contributing to the
continued development of professional contract management in the Nordic region.
Through this adoption, NSCCM reinforces its commitment to advancing professional
standards and supporting the development of contract management as a strategic
capability in modern organisations.
